June 2012 : Electric Daisy Carnival : Las Vegas

I was fortunate to be able attend the Electric Daisy Carnival 2012 this past weekend with my office! I UNfortunatly can't post many of the photos because of my office! hehe... Love you guys! This was my second EDC [I attend one day of 2010 EDC-L.A.], so I decided to just wear the traditional "Daisy-Sheik" costume. The same look I wore my first year. However, EDC Las Vegas is 3 days long and I didn't have time to make another bra, so the ladies and I found some really cute bras @ the Santa Monica Mall. TG!

Day 1:
It took us 2 hours to get to the Speedway and on the way up there a car that was ahead of us during stand still traffic ran off the road and busted into a sign! Air bags and everything! It was cray cray!!! What a way to start the evening!
Anyway, most of us started the weekend with"Daisy-Sheik" outfits. Even the guys had daisy covered vests! I hope someone has that photo. I should have re-secured the beading and flowers on my bra because by the time we got off the second ride my outfit was falling apart!
We got to see all the DJs we planned for the night, but many of them were spinning at the same time so we didn't get to see everyone complete set! Like Above&Beyond and Benni Benassi. We had to run to make sure we heard A&B. We also got to see a little bit of Steve Angelo, Hardwell, and Afrojack. We kind of got to "see" Kaskade, a corner of the stage anyway. We definitely heard  him... The crowd was so Cray-massive that we couldn't really get within the stage area!!!
Finding the car on our way out was definitely a mission. The parking lot and the parking lot signs weren't very well lit. The map guy led us to the wrong location because he was reading the map upside down [we realized later], and to top everything off, we didn't realize we parked in the last row of parking! It was so windy and dusty when we got there that we just ran out of the van toward the entrance...

Day 2:
I couldn't wait to show this off!! Such a CUTE top! It was so comfy with high rise boy shorts, a tutu, and white knee high converse with read lace. It was a colder night with high winds so I brought along a red shawl =) We got to see Armin van Buuren, Markus Schultz, ATB, and Calvin Harris. We were waiting for Avicii, and he makes an announcement that the fire marshall was closing EDC down because of high winds!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They actually said it was too dangerous for the performers to be on stage and they were going to wait for the winds to calm down. Everyone was so bummed! The crowed started chanting "Refund!" Gus and Ed noticed that the stage lights and some speakers were being taken of the scaffolding, and told us that we better leave to beat traffic because there was no way the show was going to come back on. They were right. We beat traffic, and hung out on Fremont street. SO MANY PEOPLE!!

Day 3:
We decided to get to the speedway really early to ride the rides. We left around 4pm. Got there, parked, and entered all by 5pm. We saw a couple accidents on the way up that seemed like a night crasher because many of the cars had "EDC or Bust" on the windows. I felt kind of bad for them, but it is there choice to drink a drive.
I just wore a cut up white t-shirt and some jean shorts on the third day. Decided to go simple because we just didn't have time to get ready...

We combined groups with some of my Vegas friends I got to know during Cochella a few years back. They are all insane! I love them =) The night was perfect! There was no sign of high winds and we around great people. We danced the night away starting off with Olivar Twist. The boys didn't want to leave. Then we got to dance to Laid back Luke and Chuckie. We stayed in the Kinetic field the rest of the night because the line-up was CRAY-insane! Dirty South, Pretty Lights, David Guetta, Avicii, Armin, and Porter Robinson!!!!!! Amazing!!! We wanted to stay for Flux Pavilion, but the Vegas crowd said it would be chaotic leaving when the sun comes out while we would be stuck in traffic...

Such an amazing time! THE LIGHTS! THE MUSIC! THE ACTIONS! THE VIBE! I NEVER WANTED IT TO END. I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!
